Royal Portrush hosted 2019 148th Open, 12th- 19th July, marking its historic return to Northern Ireland in almost 70 years.
Last played at Royal Portrush in 1951, The Open has certainly been one of Northern Ireland’s biggest sporting event.
The Open ended with firm favourite Shane Lowry lifting the Claret Jug for his maiden major victory,
The County Offaly native walked away as Champion Golfer with his six stroke triumph.
